Postgraduate Scholarships
Graduates with First Class Honours (H1) or likely to
graduate this year with H1 who are interested in undertaking
postgraduate research are encouraged to apply for
scholarships. There are several funding sources for
postgraduate research studies:
1. Scholarships offered by University
are offered annually with applications due by the end of
October each year.
2. Scholarships funded from research grants tied to
specific research projects within the Department.
3. Partial tuition scholarships for international
students.
4. Top-up scholarships (in addition to already awarded
other scholarships) funded from Departmental resources
offered to suitable applicants for special projects. These
are irregular offers and inquiries
should be made with the Department for availability.
5. Teaching and consulting opportunities.

The department offers a comprehensive range of expertise
and an active and diverse research program with
specialisation in the areas of biomedical engineering,
computer architecture, control, electronics, power
engineering, robotics and telecommunications. Opportunities
exist for prospective postgraduate
students in all of these areas.
