communities. Leading researchers present their current work, while
special sessions focus on the role of women in today's technology
fields, including computer science, information technology, research
and engineering.

The theme of this year's celebration was "Creating Technology For Social Good"
and was held in Tucson, Arizona, USA, between September 30 - October
3, 2009, http://gracehopper.org/2009/.

Past Grace Hopper Celebrations have resulted in collaborative
proposals, networking, mentoring, and increased visibility for the
contributions of women in computing.

Iris has received a Google Community Scholarship (which sponsors
traveling expenses of overseas students) and ACM student travel
support to attend the
conference.
