Title: "Holistic Community Development (HCD) in remote area of Nepal"

Abstract:
Holistic Community Development (HCD) is ONE major new approach which will enable us to may be come at least a bit closer to the MDG No. 1 (poverty eradication) of the remotes and poorest mountain communities where otherwise no-one really works or want to work as it is too hard, difficult, expensive, frustrating and time demanding.
About the Speaker
Alex Zahnd has lived and worked in one of the remotest and poorest mountain communities in Nepal Himalayas as director of the holistic community development project. He is expatriate staff of Kathmandu University, mainly involved in applied research of renewable energy technologies with implementation on a village scale in the remote mountain district of Humla and Jumla
