The Faculty of Engineering at Luleå University has seven engineering departments and a department of mathematics. As well there is a Faculty of Arts and Sciences.

This compares with Monash University, which has ten faculties: Art and Design, Arts, Business and Economics, Education, Engineering, Information Technology, Law, Medicine, Pharmacy and Science.

The majority of collaborative research is in engineering, a consequence of the initial staff exchange program in this discipline. Since 1999 collaborative research programs have also been established in the faculties of information technology, education, art and design, arts, and business and economics.

• Electromagnetic Compatibility and Antenna Technology
