Current Research Group Members

 

 

Mr. Krishnendu Bera completed his Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Telecom. Engg. And Master of Technology in Microwave Communication Engg. from Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, Shibpur, Howrah, India in 2012 and 2016 respectively. He worked as a Solution Integrator in Ericsson India Global Services Pvt. Ltd., India from 2012-2014. Currently, he is pursuing his PhD studies in visible light communications.

 

 

Mr. Golap Kanti Dey completed his BSc and MSc in Applied Physics, Electronics and Communication from the University of Chittagong, Bangladesh in 2013 and 2014, respectively. He has teaching experience in university. Currently his is pursuing his PhD studies in  general areas of RF/Microwave Engineering and smart antennas.

 

 

Mr. Jiewei Feng completed his Diploma of Engineering Studies from Monash College in 2010, Bachelor of Engineering (with Honours) in the field of Electrical and Computer System and Master of Advanced Engineering in Electrical Engineering from Monash University in 2015 and 2016 respectively. Currently his is pursuing his PhD studies in RFMEMS devices for chipless RFID.

 

 

 Mr. Tharindu Athauda completed his Bachelor of Information Technology from University of Colombo School of Computing, Sri Lanka in 2009 and BSc Engineering (Hons) in Textile Process Engineering from University of Moratuwa in 2010. He has comprehensive research and innovation experience in diversified interest areas in Wearable Technology and Smart Materials Platforms over 5 years in Sri Lanka and Europe. Currently, he is pursuing his PhD studies in electrical engineering at Monash University. His areas of research interest include Wearable antennas for portable devices, Super Wide Band Antenna, Chipless RFID Sensors and chipless RFID printed electronics. 

 

 

 

 

 

Ms Rubayet-E-Azim Anee completed her Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), Bangladesh in 2009. Currently, she has completed her PhD studies in Engineering in Monash University in November 2016. Her research interests are anti-collision and localisation protocols for chipless RFID, Antennas, Chipless RFID tag designs and Radar Signal Processing.

 

 

 

 

 

Dr. Ramprakash Yerramilli completed his PhD degree from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India. His research interests: Nanotechnology, dye sensitized solar cells, solid oxide fuel cells, primary and secondary batteries, materials science and characterization, electrochemistry.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mr. Shuvashis Dey obtained a BSc in Electronics & Communications Engineering from National Institute of Technology-Durgapur, West Bengal, India in 2007 and M.Sc. in Wireless Networks from Queen Mary University of London, London, UK, 2009. Currently, he is pursuing  a, PhD in electrical engineering at Monash University. His areas of research interest include Wearable antennas for portable devices, Super Wide Band Antenna, Chipless RFID Sensors.

 

 

 

 

 

Mr. Muhsiul Hassan obtained B.Sc. Eng. (Electrical and Electronic), Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), Dhaka, 2012. He was a Lecturer in the departmen t of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Bangladesh University of Business and Technology, Dhaka 2012-2014 Currently he is pursuing his PhD in ECSE Dept., Monash University. His research interests are Smart antenna, Beamforming algorithm, Soil moisture sensor.

 

 

 

 

 

Mr. Mazyar Forouzandeh obtained M. Eng. (Telecom), Iran Uni. of Science and Tech., Iran, 2006. and B. Eng. (Electrical and Computer), University of Tehran, Iran, 2002. From 2000-2014 he worked in various organisations in the capacity of design engineer. His research interests are Digital Circuits, Firmware, DSP, Embedded Systems, Time-domain techniques for chipless RFID. Currently he is pursuing his PhD in ECSE Dept., Monash University.

 

 

 

 

 

Ms. Ismat Zareen obtained Msc. in EEE from BUET in 2010 and BSc in EEE from AUST, Dhaka, Bangladesh in 2002. She was an Assistant Professor in the Dept. of EEE, AUST from Apr’08 – Mar’14 . Currently, she is pursuing her PhD studies in wireless power transfer from overhead lines for electric vehicles in ECSE Dept. Monash University. Her research interests include load protection system, Single Channel Remote Controlled Switching System using Infrared, Transformer-less Power Supply Unit.

 

 

 

 

 

Ms. Meriam Anushani Bibile obtained her MSc. in Mobile, Personal and Satellite Communications from the, University of Westminster, London, United Kingdom, 2006 and BSc.in Engineering Physics from University of Colombo, Sri Lanka, 2004. She was aLecturer in Electronics & Telecommunications, ITUM, University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka, 2009-2013. Currently she is pursuing PhD studies in signal processing for chipless RFID. Her research interests include Digital Signal Processing, Detection algorithms for Chipless RFID System, Electronics

 

 

 

 

Ms Sika Shrestha obtained M.Sc. Eng. In Information and Communication from, Chosun University, Gwangju, South Korea in2013 and B.Sc. Eng. in Electronics & Communication from), Tribhuvan University, Nepal in 2009. She was an Engineer in Building Automation System, Wesnet, Worldwide Electronic System, South Korea from 2013-2015. Currently she is pursuing PhD studies in ECSE, Monash University. Her research interests include Antenna design, RF energy harvesting, Chipless RFID tag design and printing of chipless RFID tag.

 

 

 

 

Mr. Larry M. Arjomandi obtained M.Sc. Eng. In Telecommunications in1998 and B.Sc. Eng. in Electronics in 1994 from Ferdowsi University, Mashhad, Iran. He worked in various lead roles in multiple organisations in Iran and Australia. Currently, he is pursuing PhD studies in 60 GHz chipless RFID system in a project sponsored by Xerox PARC, USA.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mr. Shahriar Hasan Shehab obtained MSc EEE and BSc EEE from American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) in 2014 and 2013 respectively. He was a lecturer in Dept. of EEE, AIUB from 2014-16. Currently , he is pursuing PhD studies in surface integrated waveguide (SIW) antennas for radiometer remote sensing for soil moisture measurement. His research interests include Wearable antennas, Substrate Integrated Waveguide Technology, Soil moisture sensors.

   Mr. Kim Tuyen Trinh obtained MSc. In Telecommunications from La Trobe University, VIC., Australia, 2012 and BSc. In Telecommunications from Telecommunications University (TCU), Viet Nam, 2002. He was a Lecturer in Communications, Army School No. 1, Ha Noi, Viet Nam, 2005-2011 & 2012-2015. and a Commander, Signal Unit, Vietnam People's Army, 2003-2004. Curerntly he is pursuing PhD studies in CMOS mm-wave phase shifter design for radiometer antenna. His research interests include Antennas & Propagation, Phase shifters, Phased array antennas, Mobile Networks.

 

 

 

 

Ms. Fatemeh Babaeian obtained MSc in EEE/Communication-Applied Electromagnetics form Amirkabir University of Technology, Tehran, 2013 and BSc in Electrical and Electronic Engineering-Communication, Shiraz University, Shiraz, Iran, 2006. She was an RF Engineer in Faramoj company, Tehran, Iran, 2013-2016 and a Teaching assistant in Electrical Circuit Lab, EEE Dept, Shiraz University, Shiraz, Iran, 2005-2006. Currently, she is pursuing PhD studies in hybrid chipless RFID for food security. Her research interests include Hybrid Chipless RFID encoding, Optimization and RF Engineering.

 

 

 

 

Mr. Wan Muhammad Imran obtained B.Sc. Eng. in ECSE Monash University in 2010. He was a research assistant of MMARS from 2011-2012.  Currently he is pursuing PhD studies in mm-wave chipless RFID system development in ECSE Dept., Monash University. His research interests in mm-wave Phased Array Antenna, Digital Signal Processing, Beam forming network. His research interests covers RFID, Databases, Image-processing Techniques, Computer Networks, Advanced topics in IT.
